Arman Nouri The Leader for a new Iran
A reporter from the Iranian student organisation interviewed Dr. Arman Nouri, questions and answers as follows:
Recently, people have been receiving publications containing your manifestation. What is your aim in distributing these publications?
In the absence of strong opposition against the mullahs' regime, we decided to set up an organisation, the name of which [Pars] symbolises the power and culture of our Motherland, Iran. In the year of 1988, I was given the responsibility as the leader of this organisation, so I decided to publish our latest activity now and then. By doing so, we are trying to keep the spirit of fighting against the Iranian regime alive. All opposition groups and patriots, who with the same goal and the same point of view, try to overthrow the Iranian regime under one flag.
Sir, you are a very busy and successful dentist in Paris. Now it has been some time since you have arrived in the world of politics. Although the slogan of many groups is ‘keep away from tension in order to stay healthy', why have you chosen to enter such a dangerous and risky way of living?
The first thing I have to tell you is that I started fighting against the fundamentalists, before the Iranian Revolution, when I was 20 years old. After the victory of mutiny of 1979, which was planned and carried out by the International politics, I fought against the enemy of my country. My life and fate is tied up by fighting for my country's freedom and until the last drop of my blood, I will continue to fight against this anti-Iranian mullahs.
Very briefly, tell us about your past and present, for those who do not know you well.
After the victory of mutiny, in 1979, I was arrested by the Revolutionary Committee and was detained in Ghasr Prison. I was freed after 2 months but I was expelled from University. Then we set up a group inside Iran and we had connections with the opposition army group outside Iran. At the time, the Iranian police and army were not totally destroyed by mullahs, and we were hoping to demolish the mullahs' regime. I left Iran and went to Turkey, and then to Paris. You can the read the remaining details of my political activity against Khomeini's regime, in my book, which was published last year.
One can feel that you are a person with aims and desires. Arman is a very suitable name for you (as Arman in Farsi means desire). Tell us a little bit about your goals and dreams for Iran.
I, as a patriot, wish for freedom, welfare and honour for the people of my country. And in order to achieve these, I would do anything in my power. At the moment, to rescue Iran the aim is to fill the gap between Iranians, which has been created by foreign politics. These gaps are of religion, ethnicity and of aims and desires. But I have to say, the Ahoorai of Iran does not distinguish between right and left. Our plan and programme for the future of Iran, after overthrowing the mullahs' regime is based on humanity, human rights, loving one another and friendship. At the same time, we will do our share in the world's economy, social welfare, and social justice, not only in Iran, but in the whole region. We have designed the future of Iran based on the freedom of opinion, with a positive direction.
I am sure you are very familiar with Iranian history. Can you compare the present situation in Iran with our past?
I have to say that never, ever does Iranian history register or recall such chaos in the past thousands of years. A group of anti-Iranian mullahs, under the name of Islam and Iran are governing us and destroying our country. This regime, which has been imposed upon us over the last 27 years by foreign politics, has got a duty to ruin our economy and culture, and give away the huge profits and benefits of our economy's resources to the Superpowers. And that is why the terrorist and anti-Iranian regime of mullahs has been directly and indirectly supported by the Superpowers. Most of the opposition groups are supported by foreign politics and are playing a role in the scenario of strengthening the pillar of the Iranian regime. This situation makes fighting against the mullahs' regime for Iranian patriots very difficult, because they are facing three different fronts: a) foreign politics and the supporters of the Islamic Republic; b) the mullahs' regime; and c) against some of the opposition abroad, who are acting as the enemy's fifth column.
How important is a firm leadership for a scattered Iranian opposition?
Every movement needs good leadership for victory. This leadership has to be decisive and courageous. In order to form a committed and responsible movement, we need positive thoughts and patriotism, which comes from the heart of desire. A wise and patriotic leader, who cares for the people, and who has a good knowledge of and ability to analyse the international economy, is vital to achieve these goals at this very crucial time. The role of a leader at this sensitive time from our history is to bring all Iranian people under one banner, and then overthrowing the present mullahs' regime. There is no movement or opposition or fighter who could succeed without good leadership. Obviously, the leader has to have wise and patriotic advisors and colleagues.
Where are Iran and the Iranians in history, at present?
We Iranians, at present, are in a very unpleasant condition inside and outside Iran for overthrowing the mullahs. Iranians may say we have been in this situation for the last 28 years, but I have to say that the world's present situation and the constant defeat of exploitation with religion, which was designed and conducted by the Commission of Three Countries, ruined the economical and social security of Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East, and the world as a whole. And that makes the victory of the opposition very probable in the near future. We, who want to be the future leaders of Iran after overthrowing the regime, with political, economical and social plans and projects, will lead not only Iran, but the whole world, in a direction of social welfare and justice. At present we are living in an era of globalisation and the very tight connection between international and social economy, means that the conditions are on our side for toppling the Iranian regime. Changing the world's leadership in the future will be connected with the fundamental changes in Iran.
Tell us your opinion about the Prince Reza Pahlavi.
I prefer to talk about him as little as possible because his records in the last 28 years have been in favour of the Iranian regime.
What is your plan for the future and to what extent are you to dedicate yourself to your goal, and if your profession is to be sacrificed for your goal, are you still fighting against the Iranian regime?
When at the age of 20, I started to learn about the politics of Iran's social life, gradually I felt that for the building of a free and prestigious Iran, I am responsible. It is for this reason that this goal and desire is the most important aspect of my life. For achieving that, I am ready to risk my life. We will build up Iran with the help of the Iranian people, we will renovate our motherland, and we will present the new Iran to the future children of our country.
Is your organisation active in Iran?
We have our own cells inside Iran, we have our own people active inside Iran, and these patriots will emerge and rise in a national movement very soon. We are trying to make political and military plans inside Iran and also through talking to international bodies and organisations, to bring forward the special day of overthrowing the cruel and blood-sucking regime, and freeing the Iranian people from the nightmare of the Islamic Republic.
